Icon of the Mother of God of Korsun

This icon is realized with the technique of egg tempera on wood board according to the ancient techniques of the Russian iconographic tradition. Gilding with gold leaf applied with the gouache technique, punched and further decorated with floral patterns coloured on gold. The drawing is original of the artist and reflects the typical canon of the Mother of God of Korsun. Materials for both the painting and other realization phases of the icon are of natural origin.
