Our Lady of Sorrows - 160 cm

Mary of Sorrows, "Mater Dolorosa" in Latin, is a title by which Mary, Jesus Mother, is often called and invoked by Christians.

Symbols that best identify this type of image are: one, five or seven swords sticked into Mary's heart and sometimes highlighted with a flame on top; the handkerchief in her hand; her purple or black mourning dress; the oval face, which is turned towards the sky, large eyes, small mouth and joined hands. Less frequently Our Lady holds the crown of thorns. On Madonna's face her tears are often visible.

The statue of Our Lady of Sorrows (80 cm) is made of fiberglass and it is a result of a precise artisanal process. The statue is entirely hand-painted in classic colours. Upon request, colours can be personalised.
Since the fiberglass is resistant and not heavy, the statue can be carried during processions.

White or bronze finishing is recommended for an outdoor exposure.
