Saint Francis of Assisi, expressing the desire to celebrate Christmas Eve with solemnity, created the nativity scene with the representation of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem "lying down on the straw of a manger, between an ox and a donkey", in a scenario of poverty and humility.
The Christmas party is celebrated on the 25th of December.
