Statue of Merciful Jesus - 140 cm

Hand carved, from a single block of marble, statue of the Merciful Jesus. Jesus points with his left hand to his heart, from which rays of light are flowing. When asked about their meaning, Jesus explained that one of them stands for water, which justifies souls, while the other stands for blood, which is the life of souls. These two rays stand for the Holy Sacraments and all the graces of the Holy Spirit, whose biblical symbol is water, and the new covenant of God with man made in the blood of Christ.
Christ's right hand is raised in a gesture of blessing.
